After more than four decades, the main mission remains as important as ever: to create a vibrant downtown festival that boosts the local economy. Over the years, the programming and activities have multiplied and enriched, much to the delight of festival-goers. The Groupe GIB promote the cultural, sporting, and traditional aspects of the Sorel region by organizing a festival highlighting exclusive local dishes, such as Sorel Islands' giblet, a cultural heritage dating back over a hundred years.
