The quality of the golf course as well as the associated infrastructures, such as the restaurants l'Albatros and la Terrasse. The Club de golf Continental is now in its 51st year since its inception, that’s no small thing! A golf club that is still growing, it looks like more holes will be added, I can't wait to try that.

I had the chance to meet the owner, Mr. Jean Cournoyer, and his daughter Laurence Cournoyer who sits on the board of directors of the Sorel-Tracy Chamber of Commerce and Industry with me.
Restaurant Le Fougasse
What makes this place extraordinary or unique:
The atmosphere, the quality of service and food. Jean-Philippe Boulet, one of the owners, always knew how to welcome us with unique service! We had the chance to try special wines in their wine cellar which matched the flavors of our dishes, ohhh what an experience! Plus, we can't wait to visit their vineyard.

Jean-Philippe is involved in the region, so I have the chance to meet him in several activities.
Écluse No10
What makes this place extraordinary or unique:
The location of the locks which are just on the other side of the road as well as the quality of the meals and the coffee roasted on site.

On Sundays we often go to have coffee and breakfast at Ecluse No10. We also take the opportunity to go for a picnic with the children and enjoy the facilities of the locks which are easily accessible on foot.
La Ferme du Barbu
What makes this place extraordinary or unique:
Every year in the fall, we take a tour of their farm with the kids when it’s pumpkin time. There is also a maze and animals to discover on site. We also consider ourselves lucky to be able to buy eggs and fresh vegetables grown in our region from this farm. We usually top off our visits with a little ice cream at the Chalifoux dairy counter.

What makes this place extraordinary or unique:
One of the biggest events in the region which allows us to discover the best beer and wine producers in Quebec, in a breathtaking setting on the banks of the St. Lawrence River

Laurent Cournoyer, the instigator of the event, is a hard-working man who is extremely involved in the community. It's always a pleasure to see him and chat with him about our region.
We decided to attend the festival's 5 à 7 event organized by L'Effet Boeuf, a producer located in St-Robert. We had the chance to taste meats and foods prepared 100% locally, it was a real treat, while having a wine and beer pairing from the Festival. To do again!
